We first spoke on UK Singles 3 years ago

We first spoke on UK Singles 3 years ago now and then it moved to MSN conversations.

We carried this on for about 3 years, although I was with someone else at the time, I told him I was not interested in that way.

Anyway, times were rough with the person I was with and I wanted to get away. I went away to Blackpool to stay with Woodburner and there I was for 2 weeks enjoying my holiday.

I met Azzy on the 20th May 2005 and we went to a few pubs, got chatting had a laugh.

He was so genuine and kind. I was falling for him in a big way. It was his eyes that I loved and still do.

Azzy wanted me for a long time, but we were just good mates on the net.

Well my car had a problem so Azzy said bring it down to his place and he would get it sorted, well it got more than sorted. I moved in with him and the car got sold after being fixed.

We are inseperable now and we love each other to bits.

He has taken on my boys and loves them to bits too, always there if they need him, which is fantastic.

Azzy has always wanted his Kixx, and now he has me for the rest of our lives together.

I was at first a little skeptical

I first came to this site in April 2005. I was very skeptical at first of what I might find because of all the horror stories that I've heard from other people who met people online.

I was at first a little skeptical, to say the least, when I began receiving emails from a charming man from Dublin, Ireland. We've now been chatting since May 2005 and if all goes according to our plans he will coming over to the states for the first time in August of this year. We are both very ecstatic to say the least. We have so much in common that I told him it was like chatting to myself. But we both feel very much in love and are determined, now more than ever, to be together, despite our great distances.

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank this site for making an unrealized dream come true and for making us both very happy.

Hi there! Yep, it's thank's to Singles my life is now complete. I came onto this site in April 04 made loads of friends from around the world which is fab. I first spoke to SteveYd in June/July time, and he left the site after about a month or so as he had all the information he needed! lol Crafty begger. We continued to speak after that and the friendship became amazing. It wasnt till Dec 28th as we were chatting that we realised, hey wait a minute, what are we doing? It should be us together. We have so much in common, plus our own goals and ambitions. We are soulmates through and through. It's so beautifully wierd, lol. We agreed to meet in March 05 and we spent a beautiful weekend away in the Lakes and he supported me through some traumatic times. To him it was nothing as he wanted to just be with me and I him, regardless of anything. He is a 49 year old gent who is funny, charming, loving, understanding, oh there is so much more that i could say! lol As I'm 42 he calls me his toy girl lol. At present he is a Sergent in the RAF 156 miles away :-( But he retires soon after his 22 years and is going to be doing his dream job 15 mins away as a Motorbike instructor. He is moving here sometime in the new year as he retires from the RAF sometime in Oct/Nov. We think we have done this so right for us as we will have spent all those months communicating as friends and then this year as a couple and then next year, well, mmmmm lol. We speak every day and night and he's here on weekends when he can. The big thing for me is my children are so comfortable with it all and so are his. It definitley is a match made in heaven. Oh and he's already planned part of the back garden out for a big garage to store his bikes and car. Cheeky begger lol. We just love each other so very much its wonderful and all down to Singles. So it can work just when you least expect it. Oh by the way, I am also wearing a wonderful diamond and emerald ring that he got me for our engagement and he has asked me to marry him in '07 but knowing him he wont wait that long, lol! I feel so lucky to of met my soulmate with such a warm and kind heart. Anyway, I had better stop there as there is so much more I want to say but I won't bore you. My heart's just so full of love for this man.

Everyday is exciting

I would like to first start by saying that from the first moment I logged on to UK singles, I had a great feeling that something positive would come from it. I am happy to say that I was not wrong!

Last year in March I started to talk to a guy online who went by the name of Modi. Over time we kept in touch and eventually met in person for the first time in Egypt. Later we were married and now both live here in Seattle, WA. Towards the end of next month we will be married for one year and are happy with our lives together. I also have to say that being married is a lot of work and it requires both people to be open to change, patience and understanding. Also, without the basic skill of open communication no relationship would work. I am happy to say that everyday is exciting when you are with someone who you have grown to love. I would like to thank the people at UK singles and wish everyone happiness through the good times and the tough times.

My husband and I met here at UK Singles. His IM name was Tick Tock and mine, Southern American Lady. We met in September of 2004 and Married December 31st, 2004. We are in the process of settling in England together.

He is wonderful. Don't let other people discourage you from meeting online. Love is found in strange places. Just because you meet someone online doesn't lessen the validity of your relationship. I liked the online process...it was easier for me to screen the users.

We both agreed from the beginning not to cheapen our relationship by sleeping together on our first meet. We agreed to be honest about our looks, weight, jobs, money, etc....and that, I believe is why we worked so well together. Our marriage is based on honesty. If you can't be honest from the beginning...then there is not a true foundation there. Good Luck.
